Dai Bando
A very popular regular in the early days of the Men's Bar in the club. A great story teller with the punch line usually a laugh on himself.
My favourite was when he lived in the Rhondda (Either Treorchy or Treherbert).
They both had railway stations with a platform on the way home, one on the left and the other on the right.
He fell asleep in the train home from Cardiff. He awoke when the train stopped at the station he thought was his and he stepped out of the carriage through the left hand door while the platform was on the right (or vice-versa) Either way he hit the track hard!
He probably turned up on many a Sunday morning session with more facial injuries than the whole Quins XV. No one can vouch for the truth as how he came by them but the reason was always entertaining!!
Sleep well little man with a Big Heart
Alas another local character has passed on
