The Quins fought hard in the mud bath conditions but could not overcome a well organised  Mules XV who progressed to the quarter-finals of the National Plate. 
Both defences were superb and the three tries in the match were hard earned.
Playing into the strong wind the Quins did astronomically well to just concede only seven points and supporters were hopeful of a wind backed victory in the second half but the visitors defence stood firm and added a second try before a consolation effort from strong running  winger Elliott Graham for the Quins.
