As many of you are aware, over the last number of years Johnny has been fighting against the early onset of Dementia, and as a result of his deteriorating health, and following medical advice, he was moved to a residential nursing home. Sadly against all the odds, the nursing home had an outbreak of Covid-19, and whilst he put up a good fight to beat Covid, pneumonia set in and the fight became to much for him. He died peacefully in his sleep with his girls there at his side.
There's so many stories about Johnny I'm sure we'd all love to share at this moment, but they'll have to wait for another time. A true Quins legend in every sense of the word. We will raise a glass for you mate. Rest in peace.
